Newly available in May 2024, a beautifully produced micro-pamphlet published by Hedgehog Poetry Press.
The pamphlet won the Little Black Books competition in early 2024.
Called ‘None of this makes any sense’, it’s comprised of four of my poems matched with four asemic poems by my creative partner, Keith McKay.
What does ‘asemic’ mean? Controversial! It means ‘A-semic’ or ‘non-sense’. I’d describe it as part of a genre of visual poetry, which is becoming increasingly popular as an art form, and increasingly interesting. See Keith’s website for more info on the genre.
Our pamphlet is A6 in size, with full-colour images of Keith’s asemic works, one of which was selected for exhibition in Buenos Aires in November 2023.
My poems muse on the search for meaning and purpose in life, when – sometimes – it can seem none of it makes any sense.
Pre-orders of signed, limited edition micro-pamphlets are available now, direct from Carol (and Keith) for £6.99 including p+p (UK only).
